The Authors Corner

Good morning to those of you that are early birds. Since I've been writing books I have been getting up earlier than usual to begin my day. I'm looking forward to making writing my full time job and to give my readers quality stories in which they would enjoy reading. When I was younger I would write Christmas plays and one play that I wrote the young people in the ministry that we were in back then performed in it and did very well. I'm not so much of a playwriter as I am a story teller. I also learned in the first year of my marriage that I could compose a song. The very first song that I wrote was titled "Sitting here all alone," that song was written in Brooklyn New York. I also composed a song that I wrote for my Mother Mrs. Maggie Hall Jones titled " He'll take care of you." When we re-located to Richmond Virginia in 1986, I began to have a flow in writing songs. One of my first songs that I wrote in Richmond was titled "The Lord is my Shepherd," which was later recorded. That song is the theme song in our podcast "The Chronicles of 50 Years of Marriage." My husband also played a part in the recording of that song.

I began having a flow in my song writing and although I don't play any instruments, I could still hear the music for the song in my mind. That's pretty much how I came up with the many stories that I wrote in my latest book titled "Pages of Grace, Love & Peace. It is a gift from God since my childhood and I'm very grateful to God for blessing and entrusting me with His gift.
