The writer demonstrates courage in writing this book, about her chaotic and tumultuous life, and how she was able to overcome these adversaries. This is a testimony of her unwavering faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her mother's strength, devotion and support for her daughter Linda, was an important constant in her daughter's life. Linda, being aware of her mother's support, relied on her mother as a refuge where she frequently goes for comfort. Interesting read.

If you were to meet Mrs. Linda Carter today, you would have no idea of the turmoil that she experienced while growing up. Although her story is full of sadness, it also demonstrates an incredible strength that ultimately overcomes many obstacles. She tells us about the strength of her mother, which continues to shine through Mrs. Carter today!! Sadness and stress swept through this family, yet was overcome through the strength of their faith in God. This story will inspire all who read it. I am absolutely awed by the details of her childhood memories right down to what her mother purchased for her first day of school. This is a story of strength, faith, and love. Her love for the LORD and music are nothing short of being inspirational. The story of how her trials helped her get through her most difficult times, and bring her out of the corner is a great read. It is truly amazing that the little girl in the corner grew up to become such a strong and loving individual.

What an amazing book that displays God’s never ending mercies and grace! Being a victim of sexual abuse and then earnestly searching for the “right” way to do life through so many years of searching and searching the “earthly” things and ways of life. The battle is lifelong and challenges are always easier faced with His never ending love.
Mrs. Carter’s testimony reveals God never gives up on us! I can relate to so many of her circumstances and feelings. No matter where we are in life or what trials we are facing if we seek Him; He is there waiting for us!

Proverbs 18:22 declares, "Who so findeth a wife, findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD." My wife - Mrs. Linda Diane Carter is a "Wife and a Good Thing." It is because of my wife and the love her family demonstrated to me that I eventually gave my life to the Lord and they are the two best decisions I have made in my entire life.
Enjoy the book!

This is a good read, whether you had a challenging life or a fairy tale life. You are drawn into the life of the writer by her vivid and detailed account of her life. The writer’s life's journey both despairing and hopeful, gives us insight in how the power of God, can both deliver and transform from the inside out. I recommend everyone to read There Was a Little Girl in The Corner and see how impactful it is to your life. I can certainly visualize someone taking interest in this book, and making a short film out of it.

In this memoir, There Was A Little Girl In The Corner, Mrs. Linda Carter lets us deep into her childhood and growing up personal experiences with amazing clarity of memory. She delves into her struggles with life’s choices. She encountered multiple situations in which her adjustment was overwhelmed. Nonetheless, no matter how disabling this felt, she managed to
rise up and keep going. It is a riveting, captivating and honest narration of her life’s journey that she shares with her readers. Despite all these and with love from those closest to her as well as belief in prayer, faith and hope, she emerges more insightful, stronger, gracious and a delightful person that she is today. It is beautifully written and informative and certainly worth
reading.

My name is Aaron Hall Jr: I am the eldest brother of Linda. I didn't realize all that she had gone through. I worked all my life and didn't know everything about my siblings. Her novel opened my eyes to things that she went through and I cried throughout reading it. I was there to take off my long coat, to shield her nakedness and get her to the psych-ward and I cried, leaving her there. I had to leave her and that made me sad. Her marriage to her husband also became a problem for a while. Seeing her and her husband today living such a wonderful life is delightful and loving. He became my brother and they both have my heart.! "What a story!"

I met Linda when we were teenagers. I lived a couple of blocks away from Linda. (I) always loved her fun loving spirit and admired her style of dressing. I did not know the sadness and pain Linda has been through. Mrs. Linda Carter's book is very inspiring and is a reminder that "We Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Gives Us Strength" Phil 4:13

This book is more than just an account of Mrs Carter's life, it is a testimony of how the True and Living God can Redeem, Restore, and Renew one's life. I was that little girl as well and although my "issues" may have been different, her life's story has been an instrumental part of my own deliverance from hurt and pain both self inflicted and by the hands of others. I have been blessed beyond measure to know her as my mother and receive the same love that her mother gave to her during tough and trying times.
This is a must read not only once BUT many times!
