There Was A Little Girl In The Corner, She's Not There Any Longer

My Story as written in my autobiography is a story of a little five year old girl that navigated through life with no compass. In my teenage years I experienced drinking alcohol, smoking reefer, LSD and prescription drugs. I partied my way through those years and in my early twenties I became so depressed that I began to withdraw from life. At the age of twenty-three I experienced my first of many nervous breakdowns. I was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia.

One day while in what I called the quiet room on the psychiatric ward, I began to sing this wonderful song that came directly from God. "There was a little girl in the corner, now she isn't there any longer, she lifted up her voice and she made Christ her choice, there was a little girl in the corner. I knew that the song came directly from Heaven, I was not the creator of the words, the Lord used my vocal cords to sing the words through me to me. It took many years before I got totally healed from mental illness. I'm a living witness that you can be set free from this disease. I took medicine for some years, but once committed my life to God, He touched my mind in a way that no psychiatrist or medication could. He restored my life.

I pray that my blog blesses your life or someone that you know that may be going through mental illness and alcohol and drug abuse.
